TechGen Metals (ASX:TG1) reports that it has commenced a comprehensive geochemistry survey following a maiden reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its John Bull Gold Project in New South Wales.
The comprehensive geochemistry survey commenced with a goal of testing for strike extensions to the north and south of the broad gold RC drilling intercepts, which confirmed the presence of a new gold discovery within the project tenement.
The survey will comprise over 733 samples on a 25m x 25m and 50m x 50m grid.
Maiden drilling also delivered a number of exceptionally broad gold intersections and demonstrated that zones of ‘higher grade’ gold mineralisation occur within the broader mineralised zones, with key results including 23m at 2.02g/t Au from 39m downhole (hole JBRC001), as announced in September.
Commenting on the geochemistry survey, TechGen Metals Managing Director, Ashley Hood, said: “Following from our recent gold discovery which ideally commences from the surface at the John Bull Gold Project, we’ve again hit the ground running with the same technical team from the John Bull RC program currently sampling and mapping the immediate and greater area.
“Given the number of unmarked historic gold workings and broad areas of historic gold sluicing, the area will be highly amenable to gold geochemistry that will help aid with the planning of the next stage of step out drilling already underway”

TechGen also notes that understanding and knowledge from the identified gold mineralisation has given way to newly identified quartz alteration zones being mapped and sampled during the current geochemistry survey.
TechGen is an ASX-listed, exceptionally active junior explorer with a project portfolio that expands across Western Australia and into New South Wales. The company’s John Bull Gold Project is located east of Glen Innes in northern New South Wales within the New England Orogen and had never previously been drilled at the time of acquisition in June 2022, with the recently completed maiden RC drilling campaign representing the first ever drilling of any form.
With the comprehensive geochemistry survey now underway TechGen announces it will move forward with plans for the commencement of stage two RC and diamond drilling (DD) operations at the project.
