Supercharger designing and manufacturing company Sprintex (ASX:SIX) reports it has received its first production order from UK technology company Aeristech for the manufacture of high-speed electric compressors to suit hydrogen fuel cell applications.
The order comes following a year of design, extensive testing and engineering validation and consists of about 50 units of the new S15 6kW hydrogen fuel cell compressor from Sprintex.
The initial order is for a sum of US$72,500 and falls under the September 2021 collaboration agreement that was signed between both parties last year.
In addition, it is expected that further orders are expected to follow for the 2 larger models that are included in the agreement, the S20 (10kW) and the S39 (25kW) unit.
These other 2 design programs for Aeristech were completed by Sprintex in recent months.

The company also notes that customer interest at the recent World Hydrogen Expo in Bremen, Germany, at which numerous NDAs were signed with many key players in the Hydrogen sector, had aided in the lodging of the first order and will lead to further orders being submitted.
Sprintex is an ASX-listed clean air compressor engineering, research, product development and manufacturing company that was incorporated in Australia in 2003.
