ASX-listed corporate bookmaker PointsBet Holdings (ASX:PBH) reports its wholly-owned subsidiary PointsBet Ohio has successfully launched online and mobile sports betting operations within the State of Ohio, US.
The commencement of online and mobile sports betting within the US’ 7th-most populous state marks the company’s 14th online sports betting operation in the US, following on from previous successful launches in the states of New Jersey, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Colorado, Michigan and New York.
Other launches have also occurred in West Virginia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kansas, Louisiana and Maryland.
The company also notes that the launch of operations within Ohio could not have come at a better time, as the National Football League prepares for the commencement of its ‘playoff’ stage within the next few weeks.
