Australian/US publicly listed company DroneShield (ASX:DRO) reports it DroneGun Tactical(™) counterdrone/C-UAS system has been utilised in the inauguration ceremony of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the recently elected President of Brazil, at the Cathedral of Brasilia.
Brazilian Presidential security utilised the company’s DroneGun Tactical(™) in order to neutralise 4 suspicious drones that were heading towards the President at the inauguration event, which was attended by more than tens of thousands of people.
The company also notes that the use of its products by the Brazilian Executive Government comes following its expansion into the Brazil market in mid 2021, following the return of a formal approval from Anatel, the Brazilian National Telecommunications Agency.
In addition, it is believed that while the impact of additional sales to the company from this high-profile deployment cannot be quantified, it is expected to be material, and DroneShield is set to provide updates to the market as appropriate.
