Drone connectivity specialist EIsight set to receive US$450,000 grant from Israel Innovation Authority

Industry leader in drone connectivity solutions, EIsight (ASX:ELS) reports it has been selected by the Israeli Innovation Authority to receive a 2-year National Technological Innovation with Government Bodies Grant of up to US$450,000.

EIsight represents one of 10 companies chosen to receive one of these grants as part of the second expanded phase of flight testing and demonstration with drones within Israel’s airspace.

This 2-year project has been designed to experiment with operating large drones intended to carry passengers and heavy cargo and will be conducted by the Israel Innovation Authority, the Ministry of Transportation and the Civil Aviation Authority of Israel (CAAI) and Ayalon Highways.

It is another great validation of our product portfolio value proposition and market fit in the drone industry”

Commencement of the second phase of the pilot project is scheduled for January next year and will require every one of the 10 companies chosen to conduct 1 weeks worth of flights across designated Israeli airspace every month for a total of 24 months.

Speaking on the grant, EIsight CEO, Yoav Amitai says: “We appreciate and are excited to receive this grant. It is another great validation of our product portfolio value proposition and market fit in the drone industry, and it will help us to push even further and get to new heights.”

The company also notes that the grant is expected to partially support the financing of the expansion of its Halo BVLOS connectivity system roadmap, specifically its continued appearance and operations under the aegis of Israel’s National Drone Initiative (NAAMA).

In addition, the company reports it will promote the development of additional and next-generational Halo features, including additional remote ID support, hyper-accurate GNSS and the next generation of LTE and 5G modems for the Halo.

EIsight is a leading drone connectivity solutions company that delivers absolute connection with 24/7 confidence. The company’s proprietary bonding technology utilises both software and hardware elements to deliver extremely reliable, secure, high bandwidth and real-time connectivity, even in the most challenging areas for stationary, portable or actively mobile situational requirements.
