DMC Mining increases nickel and copper project tenure at Fraser Range Project, WA

DMC Mining (ASX:DMM) reports it is expanding its critical minerals footprint at the Fraser Range Project, located in Western Australia, by acquiring a 112km exploration licence to search for nickel and copper.

EL28/3260 is a ‘large’ exploration licence comprising 1 EL application, and the project is held by DMC’s subsidiary Isker Mining.

The new tenure adds to DMC’s already ‘large’ Fraser Range of 10 tenements totaling some 880km-square.

DMC reports it can leverage existing technical skills and expertise to advance exploration, and exploration is ongoing on nearby DMC tenements.

The project sits within the Fraser Zone of the Fraser Range region, home to ‘world class’ deposits such as Nova and Bollinger (ASX:IGO).

The exploration model is for a range of mineral deposit styles, including magmatic nickel-cobalt-copper mineralisation, orogenic gold mineralisation, intrusion-related gold mineralisation, and polymetallic sedimentary exhalative and volcanogenic massive sulphide mineralisation.

Magmatic nickel and cobalt sulphide orebodies frequently occur in clusters globally, and so far only two discoveries have been made in the Fraser Range, and a large number of mineral occurrences.

DMC is not aware of any reason why the Project will not proceed to granting in due course.

DMC has an existing Heritage Agreement with Ngadju Native Title Aboriginal Corporation, the traditional owners of the region. Under the terms of the existing agreement, DMC has the option to add the Project to the schedule of tenements in the existing agreement.

DMC Executive Chairman David Sumich said the acquisition bolsters DMC’s footing in the region.

“The Fraser Range is a world class critical metals province and this acquisition further cements DMC as one of the key explorers in the region”

We look forward to progressing this Project to granting and then leveraging our existing skills and experience to advance exploration.”

DMC Mining is a dedicated critical metals explorer in Western Australia.

The large tenement holding (approximately 940km-square) throughout the Fraser Range and at Ravensthorpe, located at the margins of the Yilgarn Craton where numerous world class deposits have been discovered.

The company debuted on the ASX in late 2021, and it is focused on delivering on its exploration programs and providing tangible results for investors.

DMC’s modern approach to nickel exploration will result in a more ‘streamlined’ and ‘cost-efficient’ exploration process.

Its projects include the Trinity Project, around 15km west of Nova Nickel Mine, and the Ravensthorpe Nickel Project, which is a ‘highly prospective’ nickel sulphide setting with 15km of bandalup ultramafics.
